Hello! I am Jen Akob, owner, and 500 hour certified yoga instructor. I received my teaching certifications from The Yoga Loft in Bethlehem. I completed my 200 hour certification in 2014 and my 300 hour certification in 2017. I have over 1000 teaching hours. I am currently enrolled in a program at the Himalayan Institute through Spanda Yoga where I am training to become a Spanda Yoga Movement Therapist.
I have been practicing yoga on and off for over 15 years. I have found yoga to play a big part in my own health and well-being. The more I learned and practiced, the more I felt I needed to share my newfound knowledge with others. It is in my nature to help people, hence why I was a mental health therapist for 15 years. I retired from counseling to pursue this new career because I believe yoga is a powerful healing tool (physically, emotionally and spiritually). I truly believe anyone can do yoga and reap its benefits; of which there are many.
I teach how I practice. I enjoy the flow and movement that a vinyasa class has to offer and the importance of linking the movement with the breath. At the same time I am focused on proper alignment and being sure to get into and out of poses safely as in the Hatha Yoga style. I teach off of the mat meaning that I walk around the room as I give my instructions to make sure people are doing the asanas(poses) safely and correctly. I encourage self-exploration and self-acceptance. It is not getting into the final form of a pose that is important but the journey that you take to get there, however far along that may be.
Hi! My name is Courtney Kraus! I received my 200hr Training Certification in August 2017 from The Yoga Loft in Bethlehem and I've been teaching ever since! I graduated college in May 2017 with a Fashion degree, and while fashion is my job, yoga is my passion. My goal is to create a playful, safe and joyous practice where my students can explore and be curious, build strength on and off the mat, break down boundaries and start living more fully. My teaching style is gentle yet strong, authentic and non-judgmental. I want my students to feel confident both on and off the mat. My classes offer a welcoming space to soften, become present, and explore. In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. In my eyes Yoga isn't just about the moves you do on the mat, but it's the feeling you get when you leave your mat!
Hi I am Donna Olson. I started teaching fitness in 1987. I am an AFFA certified group instructor and personal trainer. In 2002 I discovered Yoga. As I practice yoga more and more, I began to find a stillness that had eluded this type"A" personality. I wanted to learn more and I received A.A.A.I/I.S.M.A yoga certifications. I have been teaching ever since.
I love to teach a gentle hatha yoga class and vinyasa flow, focusing on breath and movement with proper technique.
As a joyful person, I love to see a smile on a person’s face and understand there are struggles we all face. I believe everyone can reap the benefits of yoga for it is a healing light for all to enjoy. I strive to guide each student to find a serenity and to bring balance to their lives while developing inner and outer strength. I wish to share the joy of yoga with everyone in a patient way. I strive to help each participant view each pose(asana) as an opportunity to have fun and discover.

I have also brought this to others in the lessons I teach. I really believe in Yoga and all of it's healing properties: mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I want to bring Yoga to as many people as possible in as many ways as possible. I love learning from my students as I teach and expanding my knowledge through reading and workshops. Hi, I'm Tammy Daly. I moved to Stroudsburg in October 2019 and love the tranquility here. I moved from Long Island, New York where I had taught yoga for nearly 15 years at the same studio. I can't imagine not having yoga in my life and happy to be at Peaceful Yoga.
I started out as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor but soon found out that my passion is yoga and pilates. I have worked with clients with extreme physical limitations and injuries to athletes throughout my career.
I have received certifications from AFAA and do continuing education every year. I love finding new adaptations to familiar poses and letting the body find it's 'happy spot' within poses...that can change day to day and year to year. I enjoy using hand mudras and poses to open the chakras and let the energy flow. My favorite pose is pigeon and the motto I try to live by is 'tranquil abiding' and finding the balance.
I strive to help others to integrate total mind, body and soul wellness into their yoga practice and feel the best they can!
Thank you and hope to see you on the mat soon!
