Teacher Biographies

Hello!  I am Jen Akob, owner, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500 (Educator for 500 yoga teacher trainings), YACEP (Certified Education Provider), and Y4C (yoga4cancer certified).  I received my teaching certifications from The Yoga Loft in Bethlehem.  I completed my 200 hour certification in 2014 and my 300 hour certification in 2017.   In December 2020 I received my certification from Spanda Yoga to be a Spanda Yoga Movement Therapist.

I have been practicing yoga on and off for over 25 years.  I have found yoga to play a big part in my own health and well-being.  The more I learned and practiced, the more I felt I needed to share my newfound knowledge with others.  It is in my nature to help people, hence why I was a mental health therapist for 15 years.  I retired from counseling to pursue this new career because I believe yoga is a powerful healing tool (physically, emotionally and spiritually).  I truly believe anyone can do yoga and reap its benefits; of which there are many.

I teach how I practice.  I enjoy the flow and movement that a vinyasa class has to offer and the importance of linking the movement with the breath.  At the same time I am focused on proper alignment and being sure to get into and out of poses safely. I teach off of the mat meaning that I walk around the room as I give my instructions to make sure people are doing the asanas(poses) safely and correctly.  I encourage self-exploration and self-acceptance.  It is not getting into the final form of a pose that is important but the journey that you take to get there, however far along that may be.

Hi! My name is Courtney Czachor!  I am a Yoga Alliance Certified E-RYT500, E-RYT200, YACEP. I received my 200hr Training Certification in 2017 from The Yoga Loft in Bethlehem and I completed an additional 300 hr training from My Vinyasa Practice under the instruction of Michelle Young in 2021. I graduated Lynn University in May 2017. Yoga found me in college and stayed with me ever since. goal is to create a playful, safe and joyous practice where my students can explore and be curious, build strength on and off the mat, break down boundaries and start living more fully.  My teaching style is gentle yet strong, authentic and non-judgmental.  I want my students to feel confident both on and off the mat.  My classes offer a welcoming space to soften, become present, and explore.  In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice.  In my eyes Yoga isn't just about the moves you do on the  mat, but it's the feeling you get when you leave your mat!

Hi, I'm Tammy Daly. I moved to Stroudsburg in October 2019 and love the tranquility here.  I moved from Long Island, New York where I had taught yoga for nearly 15 years at the same studio.  I can't imagine not having yoga in my life and I am happy to be at Peaceful Yoga.

I started out as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor but soon found out that my passion is yoga and Pilates. I have worked with clients with extreme physical limitations and injuries to athletes throughout my career.

I have received certifications from AFAA and do continuing education every year.  I love finding new adaptations to familiar poses and letting the body find it's 'happy spot' within poses...that can change day to day and year to year.  I enjoy using hand mudras and poses to open the chakras and let the energy flow.  My favorite pose is pigeon and the motto I try to live by is 'tranquil abiding' and finding the balance.

I strive to help others to integrate total mind, body and soul wellness into their yoga practice and feel the best they can!

I also sell herbal tea, capsules, bath blends and a complete line of 100% Pure, Therapeutic Essential Oil Blends for the bath, body and home.  https://www.facebook.com/natures.apothecary.37

Thank you and hope to see you on the mat soon!
